At Home with the Benkos

In 2024, we were contacted by Gray Benko, the Designer and Presenter on Happy to be Home with the Benkos HBO Magnolia. Gray Benko brings colour and happiness in the Lowcountry of South Carolina; her whimsical vision is brought to life with the help of her craftsman husband, Mike, and eccentric contractor father, Grumpy.

Following a telephone call with the show's producer Chelcie Eastman, Chelcie sat on a sunny porch in South Caroline, and I was in my kitchen at home near Penny Lane, Liverpool on a grey rainy afternoon. We enjoyed a conversation about design, colour, and sustainability in interiors. We agreed that our flop over curtains in Ian Mankin Sage would be the perfect addition to their upcoming season 2 of Happy to be Home with the Benkos. The result, as Gray said, was that they made the design of the room come together. We were thrilled to see the photos and look forward to making more of our soft furnishings for a future episode.
